Speaking of Sonic, we must not forget about those splendid, familiar sound effects. My senior [Yukifumi] Makino, who was involved since the first title, created the catchy SE that seem to have made the words into sounds as they are. My favorites are “Chickoooon” and “Parkoo” (the sound of breathing air underwater).
