Jun Senoue, Kenichi Tokoi, and Fumie Kumatani on Sonic Adventure Original Sound Track:

Be Cool, Be Wild and Be Groovy …for Icecap

Senoue: I play the guitar of this music reasonably, well, roughly…! But well, it is suitable, so let’s consider it a good thing. I carry out the unusual way of using the whammy bar and put in the strange sound variously.

Tokoi: This is something in which I have shilly-shally inserted the section with request “Put in the brass!” and the sax solo with two people. And then during the recording, Akashi-san calmly and yet objectively judged, “Would this brass match the music’s image?”, because my ears have become uncool.

Kumatani: When I listened to this music at the studio in the beginning, I remember that it was the mix in which everyone’s tiredness appeared on their faces. In the end, the mix used to be redone … for this music, right?

Senoue: It’s because at that time, it was “a mix till the morning,” wasn’t it? Not understanding the meaning anymore since around 4 a.m.….
